The thing is, there needs to be quite a bit of heat transferred to the glass for it to work.  that being said, I really doubt that this would work in a reasonable amount of time.</description>

		<description>The idea is sound.  You apply a narrow ridge of heat to the glass and then cool it quickly.  The glass then breaks at the point where the temperature change is the greatest.  It&#039;s like putting an empty glass coffee pot on the burner and having it crack.  Only in this case, it&#039;s controlled.  

I&#039;d be afraid the bottle might explode into little glassy bits.  If it did you would definitely get hurt.</description>
