i have seen the same in the help center but its not available in my account.
Does anybody has the imap option yet?

I’ve been using a portable version of Thunderbird for a long time now and it’s really annoying when I forget to grab my thumb drive. I’ve been eagerly awaiting my account to get IMAP ever since it was announced but still no love here.

This is definitely a step in the right direction for GMail. One of the main reasons I have always hosted my own email is that I require IMAP support. This allows me to have the same “view” of my email whether I’m at home, the office or on the road.

Apparently this function is not yet available for google apps for domains yet. Hope this will come soon :)

Et oui, je viens d’apprendre via Geeksaresexy que Gmail supportait enfin l’IMAP.
Je vais enfin pouvoir configurer mon evolution pour qu’il prenne en charge les boites mail gmail et surtout, avoir les notifications sans utiliser d̵…
