Introducing the Squirrel Catapult

Please, don’t be angry at me for showing you this. I’m not the one who came up with the idea. I know it’s a pretty mean device, but strangely, I can’t stop laughing after hitting that play button. I dare you not to crack a smile!

Squirrel: Oh look, Food! I’ll just take a small…… Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Just got an email from an angry relative of this squirrel. Here’s his reaction:

Yeah…didn’t crack a smile. Not cool.

    • Kiltak says:

I’m sure the squirrel is ok, I’ve seen some fall from the top of very high trees and just keep on running after like nothing has happened at all.

  2. Tish says:

K, shame on you for posting this! Poor squirrel! :(

  3. BelchSpeak says:

Heh, I have seen a few great squirrel videos lately. This one did seem a bit harsh, but its a tree rat, so they get jokes.

Here is a video for the Squirrel Spinner. Its a device that makes squirrels dizzy when they try to steal birdseed from a bird feeder.

  4. [...] Kiltak at Geeks Are Sexy posted an outlandish video of a squirrel stepping into a catapult trap.  Once the squirrel gets his food, the trap is sprung and the squirrel is shot 30 feet into the backyard.  You can click over there to watch it after you see these two videos below.  [...]

    Ah, that’s just cruel IMHO.

  6. SqM says:

I didn’t smile. Wow abusing animals. Very cool.

  7. Cody Sortore says:

Pure genius! I know you didn’t come up with the idea, but that is pure genius. They just need an automatic launching mechanism… cutting the string behind it every time doesn’t always work since you don’t always know when a squirrel might come by. But it obviously works so can’t complain.

P.S. I couldn’t stop laughing the entire time either… just couldn’t help myself.

  8. That was beautiful… pure genius.

  9. LMAO! I love it. They should market this! I wish I had one. Sorry animal lovers squirrel’s are nothing more than rat’s with cute bushy tails and a public relations department. When you have them living in your attic for month’s you’d see it my way too.

  10. Binary Assassin says:

sooooo not cool! I would like to do this to the people that do it to the little animals.

  11. jojo says:

  12. John says:
