Sony unveils dancing media player

Here’s yet another stupid, expensive, and useless gadget from Sony. The Sony Rolly SEP-10BT “Sound Entertainment Player” is some kind of dancing MP3 player, but we’re not exactly sure what to make of it. It’s not exactly a robot, nor is it a portable media player. It just plays music and moves around, fluttering its little wings like a newborn chick. Here’s a video of the thing in action:

The SEP-10BT will be officially released in Japan on September 29th and will go for about $350. A perfect price for people with too much money and a lot of free time on their hands.

    Is the rootkit included?

OMG – its so expensive they had to put it on an imitation IKEA style table to market it to those who lament the loss of Friends from the airwaves. Cretins. Oh well a fool and his money are easily seperated. Am sure this will save their finances from exploding batteries and over-inflates PS3 prices.

it seems like the wings flapping right next to the speakers would mess up the sound.

I’m sorry but I really don’t get it. It doesn’t do much of anything it seems but flapping. I’m not amazed or impressed.

  8. That’s a completely idiotic waste of money. Way to go Sony. Taking on Apple head-on.
