The cow consumed so much grain over its lifetime that humans could have had. If, instead of overbreeding cows for slaughter, we just ate the grain to begin with, we wouldn't need to rape the land (it can't support endless amounts of grain indefinitely, you need to leave a field empty once in a while) to produce all the food for the cattle, and we'd have plenty of food for everyone instead of this whole world-hunger thing. All of which are renewable resources that are used in similar quantities to produce any and all food-stuffs that we consume. And the amount of fuel burned to transport and process the big mac from start to finish is probably not that far off from other, much healthier, foods. In fact when you are talking about raw efficacy, I'm guessing that the McDonalds corporation is probably delivering a very good colorie/gallon ratio, considering the massive number of calories contained in each big mac. But other than that, thanks for throwing out numbers with no comparison. Which allowed me to feel completely justified in leaving my own un-verified and un-referenced rebuttal!
