SAMSUNG ML-1630 and SCX-4500 Laser Printers: Taking Design to the Next Level

August 31, 2007 by Geeks are Sexy | 6 comments

This week, Samsung has released two new printers that are surely going to make quite a lot of you drool in envy. I don’t usually write about printers, but these things look too amazing to not show them to you guys. Both models feature blue LED displays, buttonless sensors and a glossy, piano black finish. The ML-1630 is a monochrome laser printer and is only 11 centimeters (4.3 in) thick. The SCX-4500 is a full-featured multifunction printer.

And what about the prices?

The ML-1630 will be priced at $199 and the SCX-4500 will cost $299. Pretty affordable for such nice looking laser printers right? Both printers are set to release in January 2008.

Technical specifications after the jump.

    Ooh. That’s sexy!

  2. Rob Dunn says:

That is awesome. Gotta hand it to them, they have come up with a very sleek and consistent asthetic for all of their devices…!

  3. Doug Weight says:

Wow, those are sleek! They make my HP printers look ugly!!!!

Gotta love the sexy blue PS2 type LEDs.

  4. Devin says:

Nice, but I’m waiting for the MemJet technology, which kills all of its competition.

  5. Brenda says:

Only… Apple Store (which carries both printers) does not carry the toner. Nor does anyone else on the web. It comeds with a “starter” 1000-page cartridge… and then what?

    • Ken says:

I understand the frustation and appreciate the feedback. It appears this may be a matter of launch timing. The toner should be available within a few days of my writing at Apple.com and shortly after that at select Apple store locations.
