Greatest gaming gadget ever: The Air Motion Seat

August 26, 2007 by admin | 3 comments

Racing game lovers looking to ‘pimp up’ virtual driving experiences might consider the ‘Air Motion’ seat demoed in the following video. For some, it could bring your world of racing fiction further into reality.

Festo uses Fluidic Muscles and mechatronic systems to give users a true sensation of either driving or flying, depending on the software being used. It’s really more of an industrial simulator than a game, and we’re pretty sure it costs a bit more than a Playstation 3.

Industrial simulator, my ass. This was some engineer’s excuse to geek out on his employer’s time. Well done.
