There’s a number of cool projects over at woodgears.ca, including a home-built wooden pipe organ and an apple grinder, but the one that caught my attention was the binary, 6-bit adding machine that uses falling marbles and pivoting wood blocks to store data.
If the Ancient Chinese had learned to count in Base2, this is the abacus they would have built.
That is some freaky stuff.. marbles lol.
