Why you should NOT eat Mcdonalds’ food

June 14, 2007 by Kiltak |

Yes folks, this video proves that McDonald’s fries and Big Macs are not technically food.

Ok, maybe the fries were preserved after all that time because of their salt concentration, but you have to wonder why the Big Mac didn’t start to mold until the third week. What are your thoughts on this? :)

Hmmm, maybe a warning would have been appropriate then, but unfortunately, it’s now too late :)

ok its called moderation! i eat mcdonalds every day practically (i work there) and im actually skinnier than when i started working. Be active and burn the calories off! I know how our store works and i know the calorie intake by no means is mcdonalds good for you, but neither is ANY OTHER FAST FOOD PLACE! well maybe subway. but they are really expensive. expecially if you work at mcdonalds. lol. im just saying their is nothing wrong with eating mcdonalds if you eat small portions, exersize, and choose foods outside of mcdonalds once in awhile!!!! oh and p.s. we also have SALADS, FRUIT & WALNUT, AND THE YOUGURT THINGS lol. parfeits(?) so quit your bitchen its your fault if your a fattie mcdonalds doesnt grab you off the street, hold a gun to your head and say eat here or die! =D thank you have a great day, please come again ;D

Has your beloved mcdonalds ever told you that even their salads have unnecessary sugars and everything else is coated in cornsyrup to make people addicted? have you ever had your blood pressure taken? because unless you are only eating salads everyday at Mcdonalds, I doubt your healthy. and ya maybe Mcdonalds doesnt grab us off the streets with a gun, they dont have to, they are one of the biggest advertisers and practically brainwash kids to think they love their food befor the kids are even 4 or 5! Ya eating small portions is very important, its the key if you want to eat fast food, and ya Mcdonalds may not be as expensive as subway, but you know why? EXTERNALITIES!!! Look them up! it means the real costs of the food is not factored in, like how much grain and water and land it takes to produce just one pound of beef (est. 2,500 gallons of water!!! - 50% of U.S water used for cattle!!!)… so please before you defend Mcdonalds, and dont get me wrong, I think ppl need to exercise more and be portion wise, but learn the facts… McDonalds, like many other big corporations is evil!!!

Well, I just saw this link on a finnish irc channel, so maybe this is just circulating around irc, and probably on different message boards too.
Btw. a few weeks ago I found an apple under my bed, and it looked just normal, even smelled good, but I was really amazed after looking at it’s receipt, it was 2½ months old! Even the vegetables and fruits we eat aren’t safe..

Yeah, have you ever noticed that sometimes, apple have a thin wax film on top of them? It makes them look all nice and shiny, and probably helps push away the decomposition phase by a few weeks.

I can almost guarantee the wax keeps it from decomposing. A trick for camping is to cover eggs in liquid wax to seal the pores in the shell. They can be kept at room temperature like that with no problem. Well, eggs only age one fridge-week each room-temperature-day so without wax they’re fine at room temperate for about a week, but you can go on like a 2 week camping excursion with eggs if you wax them.

The reason why an apple doesn’t go bad so fast is the high acidity content. The outer skin, although waxed, will in fact “protect” the apple from going south. That is probably due to the produce vendors requiring a higher shelf life for them.

Cheers,
JM

Another reason to follow the principle that “good food goes bad.” Without preservatives, a Big Mac should not show just a little mold, but should be unrecognizable as a food item by this time. After the Silent Spring study was released last month listing 10 food additives that are known to cause breast cancer in animals, this is scary.

Wow, that is really disgusting. But at the same time, I still like McDonalds fries! If only we could get our hands on the chemical responsible for that flavor, we can avoid having to ingest the non-food fries.

I believe it’s beef broth. I’m fairly sure it’s McDonalds that has the non-vegetarian French fries.

Anyone know if this was an outtake from “Supersize Me?”
I tend to have have quite a messy car, but every once in awhile I’ll go on a cleaning frenzy.

The last time this happened, I came across a McDonald’s bag, which I decided to use for the rest of the trash in my ride. I opened it up and there was a month old small pack of french fries, which like the video had yet to mold. Yet to do anything. Majorly spooky.

I think McDonald’s was sued by an Indian couple in the 90s for saying their fries were vegetarian & yet they had beef broth in them, which was to make up for the taste they once had when they were fried in lard.

thanks for posting this!

Once the moisture has gone, so will any chance to mold over. Like beef jerky. Those “normal” fries were twice as thick and moist as those McFries, which may well have been room temperature when they were added to the jar.

Ever seen a moldy potato chip?

I remember seeing this on the extra features of the DVD. I’m surprised this is the first time we’re seeing it on the web. I saw it on Digg earlier today.

I don’t know, has anyone thought that frying those skinny fires in oil, depletes the fry of most of its moisture? Hard for mold to grow without moisture, a.k.a.water. Get a Mac fry and one from a burger joint and tell me the one from the burger joint isn’t a floppy moist fry while Macs will always be cooked to perfection, crispy and tasty. Go ahead whine about the fries, but for me, pass the ketchup. Bo, hoo, oh those french fries from big Macs.

those fries literally had to be precoated all the way thorough with sodium nitrates by McDonald’s before the coking proses for them to not break down so evenly, and for so long, 10 weeks? you gotta be kidding me, and for the record salt alone would not preserve it form the inside out. it’s starch for christ sake, starch should break down quicker than meat!

Actually, McDonald’s fries are pretty soggy, that’s why I stopped eating there, I couldn’t stand their soggyness. I liked burger kings better, they actually stand up and don’t sag, I’m shore Bk’s would last for infinity as well . I don’t eat at any of these places anymore.

YEAH YEAH YEAH! cuz we all know that the food we eat will just SIT in our stomaches for weeks on end and not bombarded by acids and digestive liquids….
teeth and bones dissolve in coke even diet coke or pepsi? but who the fuck cares…. FOOD DOES NOT SIT IN YOUR BODY FOR WEEKS it is ALL digested within about 24 hours if you are a normal human and not have some sort of disease~!
