I have four kids of my own and they are 6 and under and they have never caused so many of our DVD's to quit working. I am going try a few of the suggested ideas, not like I got anything to lose if they get ruined!!!! I have used standard bar soap, rubbed it over the CD or DVD, then polished with a microfiber cloth... have never had any problems with any CD/DVD players or ROMS using this method.
