Ya, I could only imagine how it would be for a person that lives in the middle east (that’s me). The product getting here is the biggest worry for me. It usually takes a very long time for new technology’s to get in here and the prices are usually crazy but we all come to get used to it (what can we do…hehe).

If they don’t include quad band, it’s not going to work in Europe and also in many countries in south America. Like Argentina. I don’t think they are THAT dumb. It’s a Huge market share they are missing!

Anyways, i said this already, I’d rather buy a new blackberry than the iphone. And the price is crazy.
To give you an idea, here in Argentina a dollar is worth three pesos. A 80gb video ipod costs 2499 pesos. That is around 833 US dollars.
In USA the same ipod costs 349 dollars. So that is more than twice that price.
Let’s say i want to buy the best iphone. 600 dollars in the US would be at least 1200 here. 3600 pesos.
And that is being optimistic. New releases are even more expensive. Like a Playstation 3 console. Costs 8440 pesos. Yeap…around 2800 US dollars.
Crazy huh? I keep telling my dad that Los Angeles was a much better place than Buenos Aires!

Engadget says that the additional bands aren’t usually listed on the FCC filing, they seem pretty confident that the iPhone will be quad band.

Maybe since Apple isn’t gearing the iPhone for the corporate user, they decided that it wasn’t worth trying to fit the hardware for it in there?

I for one do not like the idea of a touchscreen, it goofs up my whole “touch-typing” (if I can call it that) methodology!
