Although the guy at the end says "it makes good science fiction" it is said that this "particle accelerating thing" might me catastrophic. My brother is a physicist, a theoretical one. (He deals with theories, not experiments, i think theoretical is the English word for that right?) I commented this documentary with him (via Google Chat). And I quote (and translate): HIM: "The thing is there are no theories that describe those energies well. That's why nobody knows if something catastrophic might happen. For more than 20 year scientists have been working on the "string theory" and still...nothing...and this theory is the best we've got so far. There has to be something else, but nobody knows what" ME: "Sure...but, particles HAVE been accelerated before, right? And nothing happened then... HIM: "Yes, but never at such high energies. And what some speculate is that if we would "excite" the levels of gravitational freedom..." ME: "We would all go to F...... hell basically" HIM: "...black wholes would be born right here in earth that would suck on everything basically" Imagine the world ending for such a moronic experiment.
