Google’s U.S. Search Market Share Continues to Soar

GoogleAccording to a new survey that was recently conducted by Hitwise, an Internet metrics firm, nearly two-thirds (64%) of U.S. searches went through Google last March, up from 58% just a year before. Is anyone surprised by this? I would have thought that Google would have had a larger share of the search market, but hey, it seems that there are still some people out there that need to be assimilated.

The number of search queries on Google rose to 64.1 percent in March, compared with 63.9 percent in February and 58.3 percent a year ago, according to Hitwise, which bases its report on the surfing habits of 10 million U.S. Web users.
