Hyundai QarmaQ SUV Concept (Video)

March 10, 2007 by Kiltak |

The folks at CarScoop recently produced an interesting video presenting the stylish and very cool Hyundai QarmaQ, a new concept SUV that “features  polycarbonate glazing materials that are about 50 percent lighter compared to your usual glass and an “Elastic Front” safety system that significantly improves pedestrian protection.” Enjoy the show!

More of a technology showcase vehicle than your typical design study, Hyundai’s QarmarQ s features over 30 key technologies, which, according to the Korean company, will be selectively incorporated into Hyundai’s new models from 2008-2014.

it looks like they stole styling from a honda s2k in the front, from a proche in the back and then stretched it vertically to make it an SUV ….. and then it has just way too much detail …. its trying way too hard to look good

Hmm, I hadn’t thought about it this way, but now that you say it, yes, it’s true.

Personally, I don’t like the “glass” line that starts from the side window and goes down into the door.. it looks wierd.

The car is nice, but yes, it is a bit wierd looking.

Guys, these are cars of the future, we are moving up on modern looks. I understand what you are saying, but the thing is, the reason why you may be worried about this glass, is maybe because it’s not been done before.. I personally like it, and give it the thumbs up. Depending on time of release, I will definitely be look at buying one of these.
